Colorful program for the Los Angeles production of the shipboard comedy "Excursion," from Hallie Flanagan's Federal Theatre, which was part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Depression. All the action takes place aboard the "S.S. Happiness." Random House published the play in book form in 1937; the play had been a hit on Broadway. No other copies in commerce as of March 15, 2018. Nor do we locate any institutional holdings in OCLC WorldCat. A nice little bit of WPA-related ephemera, printed in vibrant colors. RARE. Item #1405
