Small Quarto (9 1/4 x 8 inches; 233 x 216 mm), pages in blue and white stapled wrappers (soft cover).
Exhibition catalogue for Kenzo Okada (1902-1982) at the Betty Parsons Gallery in New York from March 11-29, 1969. The catalogue features six plates (3 in color), followed by a list of 15 paintings that appeared in the show.
Okada received considerable critical acclaim. John Canaday, the art critic for The New York Times, wrote in 1967: "Mr. Okada practices superlatively a quiet, poetic abstract landscape painting that seems almost old-fashioned nowadays. But for viewers seeking a meditative retreat from works that hop, op, pop, jiggle or rumble, time spent in the presence of these low-keyed canvases should be most rewarding.''
