An imaginative announcement for an exhibition of paintings by Grace Hartigan and Larry Rivers and poems by Frank O'Hara. This glossy booklet unfolds to form a 10-panel announcement for the show and features a poem by Frank O'Hara interspersed with images from the exhibition. It was held November 24 through December 24, 1959, at the Tibor de Nagy Gallery, a very important player in the New York School of painting and poetry.
The exhibition featured Oranges (eight oils on paper by Hartigan); Stones (12 lithographs by Rivers and O'Hara); portraits of O'Hara by both Hartigan and Rivers; and a portfolio of lithographs from the press of Universal Limited Art Editions.
