This issue features "A Call for a National Theatre" by producer Mark Marvin; a look at some recent Federal Theatre plays; a piece about Fritz Lang's film "Fury," which starred Spencer Tracy; a review of Pare Lorentz's film "The Plow That Broke the Plains"; and more.

Copies of New Theatre are becoming increasingly scarce in the book trade.
