Cover illustration by George Grosz for Irwin Shaw's play. Additional illustrations by Otto Dix, William Gropper, and Gus Peck. The editor, Herbert Kline (1909-1999), was a documentary film maker.
Issues of New Theatre are increasingly scarce in the market.
