New York: Indochina Solidarity Committee, May 19, 1974.
Quarto-sized newsletter (11 x 8 1/2 inches; 280 x 215 mm), 17, pages, stapled at top left. Upper wrapper printed on heavy card stock.
Scarce copy of newsletter published by the Indochina Solidarity Committee, a left-wing group that opposed the war in Southeast Asia. The upper wrapper features a poem by Ho Chi Minh (as well as a striking illustration), followed by articles about the war in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. There's also an article, "Mean Streets and Clean Streets: Saigon and Hanoi," which compares the two cities. (Hanoi comes out on top in every respect, which is not surprising, given the ideological orientation of this newsletter).
While a number of institutions hold copies of the Newsletter, this particular issue seems much more elusive. Item #2249
CONDITION: Slight edge wear, internally clean, bright, and unmarked. Near Fine.
