Scarce souvenir program presented to attendees of a memorial service for W.E.B. DuBois at Carnegie Hall in New York. The program includes a lengthy biography by Ernest Kaiser, black-and-white illustrations throughout, a chronology, excerpts from some of DuBois's works ("Darkwater," "Dusk of Dawn," and "Last Testament to the World") tributes from artists, activists, and others, and a list of sponsors of the memorial service.

DuBois, an activist, sociologist, and author, had died on August 27, 1963. The memorial service on February 23, 1964, was held on what would have been his 96th birthday.

OCLC shows only six institutional holdings, at Yale, Howard, Valdosta State, Northwestern, College of Charleston, and the Wisconsin Historical Society. No others in commerce. SCARCE.
