INSCRIBED in ink on the title page to an unnamed recipient: "To a comrade who loves poetry and much as I do. I wish this book had all the poems I haven't yet written. I promise [?] they will do more work." A collection of poems, winner of the Flume Press Chapbook Contest. The title refers to a place in Maine.
There's a pencil notation in another hand at bottom of the page: "Signed by Tina Barr, October 5, 1988, Philadelphia, PA." Barr earned a doctorate and Master's degree in literature from Temple University in Philadelphia but now lives near Black Mountain, North Carolina.
CONDITION: Light toning and soiling to wrappers but internally clean and unmarked. A Very Good copy. Item #2596
