Du Bois writes about his 50 years of political activity, while Helen Clare Nelson contributes a rollicking piece about her Hollywood neighbors and their reaction to her husband's citation for contempt of Congress (he was Alvah Bessie, one of the Hollywood Ten). There are also drawings by Ben Shahn, four poems by Konstantinos P. Kavafis, a story by Philip Bonosky, and more.

PHYSICAL DETAILS: Octavo (8 x 5 1/4 inches; 204 x 135 mm), 96 pages, in perfect-bound, illustrated wrappers (soft cover).

CONDITION: Top and bottom edges and wrappers soiled (especially the rear wrapper), creasing to wrappers and some pages, couple of instances of marginalia and underlining, evidence of damp-staining. Fair only. Item #2672
