Scarce catalogue for an exhibition of paintings and ceramics by Chu Ko (1931-2011) at Alisan Fine Arts in Hong Kong in August 1992. Short introduction by Richard Barnhart of Yale University. Text in English and Chinese. Laid in is an invitation card for a 1999 exhibition of Chu Ko's works at the Hong Kong Arts Centre and Alisan Fine Arts.

Chu Ko was the pen name of Yuan Dexing. Born in Hunan Province, he went to Taiwan in 1949 after the Communists defeated the Nationalist Army. He eventually became an expert on ancient Chinese bronzes and worked at the National Palace Museum in Taipei. He was also a poet, art critic, and sculptor and was an important figure in Taiwan's modern art movement.
