Laid in are four additional items: a statement in Chinese and English by Liu Jian explaining the inspiration for his sunflower paintings, and three announcement cards for exhibitions at Alisan Fine Arts (1997, Hong Kong, for his “Europe in My Mind” show), Christopher Cutts Gallery (1998, Toronto for “New Beginning”), and The Finer Side Galleries (1996, Salisbury, Maryland, for “New Works”).
