A massive collection of poems and essays by and about d.a. levy (1942-1968). Levy was an outspoken anti-establishment writer who had run-ins with the authorities in Cleveland over publishing allegedly obscene material. Besides printing his own works, he was active in issuing pamphlets and books for other authors. Levy took his own life at the age of 26.

This volume had a print run of 1,000 copies was issued to raise money for Levy's legal defense. It features reproductions of various news articles about Levy's legal problems as well as some original screen prints by T.L. "Tom" Kryss, the publisher of this book. An excellent anthology of levy's works that also serves as a memorial to the young writer.

Gene I. Maeroff, a newspaper columnist in Cleveland, wrote a generous tribute to levy shortly after his death. "The d.a. levy I knew was a soft-spoken, gentle young man who floundered, rootless in a society he could not trust and never understood."
