A massive biography of Mao, written by Dick Wilson (1928-2011), a distinguished journalist who was editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review from 1958 to 1964 and editor of the China Quarterly from 1975 to 1980. This is the first American edition, which follows the U.K. edition published in 1979.
CONDITION: Rubbing to boards, some fading to spine titles, previous owner's name and stamped insignia to front free end paper. The unclipped dust jacket has some chips, especially along the spine and front panel, toning to the verso, and some soiling to the panels. Near Fine in a Good only dust jacket. Item #33
