Twenty-three stories, with contributions by James Joyce, Gertrude Stein, Franz Kafka, Kay Boyle, Kurt Schwitters, Philippe Soupault, and others. (Joyce's contribution, "A Muster From Work in Progress," foreshadows the eventual publication of Finnegans Wake.) 8vo, xii, 354 pages. A Near Fine copy in striking illustrated boards, designed by Albert Schiller, in an unclipped Very Good dust jacket with several small edge tears as well as heavy toning to the spine. Some pages unopened. A particularly nice copy of the first anthology of fiction collected from the journal. Item #898
